How To Register Companies, Firms and Societies In Pakistan

How To Register Companies, Firms & Societies In Pakistan

Two or more partners can form a firm in line with the provisions of Partnership Act, 1932 for starting a business in Pakistan. Application forms can be obtained from the Registration Section of the office of Registrar of Firms from District Governments.

In order to register a firm, here is the step-by-step process:

Documents Required

  • Form-I
  • Partnership Deed on a Stamp Paper of Rs. 1000/-
  • Receipt regarding submission of Registration Fee in NBP
  • Affidavit on a Stamp Paper of Rs. 5/-
  • Copy of lease agreement / ownership of the office address alongside a copy of a utility bill (Office of the Firm should be in Commercial Area)
  • Copy of Computerized valid N.I.C of all the Partners and Witnesses.

Step-by-Step Process

Stepwise Guidelines to prepare the case:
STEP 1: Application on Form-1 under Partnership Act, 1932 should be duly filled on both sides and attested by the notary public or class-1 officer.

STEP 2: Partnership deed should be on judicial papers worth Rs. 500 in the name of the firm duly signed by all partners and witness with complete particulars thereof. One copy attested by notary public or Class-1 officer should be attached.

STEP 3: Deposit an amount of Rs. 1,000/- through Chalan form in National Bank of Pakistan or State Bank of Pakistan and attach its receipt. Payment should be in favor of Registrar of Firms, of Respective District and head of accounts should be as follows:
“1264605” fee under Registration Act 1032” (For District Rawalpindi)

STEP 4: Attach photocopies of Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) of all partners duly attested by notary public or Class-1 Officers.

STEP 5: Attach proof of ownership or rent agreement of head office of the firm. Copy should be attested by Notary Public or Class-1 Officer.

STEP 6: Any person other than partners can also lodge application of registration, provided he/she has authority letter from partners on judicial paper duly attested by notary Public or Class-1 Officer, Lawyers are only required to give request on their letter-head along with attorney.

Where to submit:
After completion of all pre-requisites, please submit all the produced documents to the Assistant District Officer (Incharge, Registration Section of Firms) in person.

Processing
Applications will be processed under Registration Act 1932 as subject to completion of pre-requisites. Incomplete application will not be entertained. For any further assistance please contact Register of Firms or Assistant District Officers or Contact KK Consultant.
